PRYANIK is a traditional Russian spicy bread or cookie that knowing for centuries. It’s can be made with or without jam filling, different shapes and flavors, as a cookie or as a large size pressed “cake” (knowing as Tula’s pryanik and looks like a rectangular tile or a flat figure). However, my personal memories connected to trips on the bus from visiting grandparents in Eastern Ukraine. The bus will make a shortstop at Pyriatyn, and I will always buy a few of local pryaniks at the station store. What can be batter then fresh cow milk from a country and a fresh BEST PRYANIK ever!!! So, I tried to reproduce my memory in this original recipe. Do you want to try some?

Ingredients:

All-purpose flour (unbleached wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), rye flour (GMO-free), sugar, butter (sweet cream), eggs, honey, molasses, baking powder (cornstarch, sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum sulfate, monocalcium phoshate), spices (cinnamon, anise, nutmeg, cloves, all spices).
Filling: Berries, sugar, fruit pectin, citric acid.
